Location: GuaMusang, Malaysia (Population: 100,000)

GuaMusang frequently suffers from monsoons, flooding and contaminated water supply.
Current water filter system doesn’t meet their consumption needs.

  • River water –Used for pre-washing dirty objects, which are later washed in cleaner ground water or rain water.
  • Rain water –Homes collect rain water from the frequent monsoons.
  • Ground water –Filtered and used for drinking/cooking. A very valuable resource, only supplied once every 48 hours. All homes must collect water.

Cashido supplied a solar powered system to turn river water into drinkable water giving residents a steady source of clean water.

The World Health Organization recommends drinking five liters of water per day.  The average person consumes 2,000-5,000 liters of virtual water embedded in food.  Even the food we eat needs water to grow.

Water rationing, restrictions and daily hikes to collect water are a day-to-day reality for those who are not fortunate enough to have a steady source of drinking water. Thus more and more organizations are placing local water filtration systems in rural areas as a service to these residents. With a filtration system residents will have constant access to a steady source of water, allowing them to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. Time that would be spent collecting water can instead be used to go to school.
Cashido Corporation offers the Container Filter, a self-sufficient off-grid solution for water purification in rural areas. The Container Filter can be placed near any water source to provide an uninterrupted flow of water 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Input water passes through the Container Filter’s multiple filtration systems, is sanitized with ozone and exits through a standard water faucet. The Container Filter is 100% powered with solar panels and a rechargeable battery. Customers simply bring a bucket and fill up!
No more long marches to collect water, less worry about water shortages, put an end to water rationing. Residents will be free to live better, more enriching lives.
